Teatro Stabile di Torino Study Centre
THE MEMORY OF LIVE PERFORMANCE
Created in 1973 with the acquisition of Il Dramma magazine’s archives together with the library of its founder Lucio Ridenti, and with the original collection of materials relating to the Drama Season programmes at Turin’s Teatro Stabile, the Study Centre has been expanding over the years, acquiring many other important collections of books and other sources relating to the theatre.
Since its establishment it has been systematically adding to its archives of documents on various stagings of Italian drama productions, and analytically cataloguing the library’s books (not including monographs and periodicals). The Study Centre offers consultation services to the public and has become a point of reference for the study of live performance in Italy for students and researchers as well as professionals working in the field.
