This is Dario Fo’s most famous text, a play that cemented his name in history and was also mentioned in the motivation of the Nobel Prize he received in 1997: “To Dario Fo … who emulates the jesters of the Middle Ages in scourging authority and upholding the dignity of the downtrodden”.
