The director sets Agamemnon against 1930s totalitarian regimes and evokes the image of a world entering meltdown. Music interacts, some of it live, interacts with the words of the chorus and actors, while two LED walls, resembling two large supernatural eyes, relay ghostly and frightful images. Presented as a single performance, The Libation Bearers and Eumenides are the second and third chapters of Aeschylus&#8217; Oresteia, a unique tale about family violence and the arrogance of power.
