Prometheus has always been viewed as a symbol of rebellion. Unable to contain his emotions and accept canons or conventions, he is a hero who challenges constituted authority and makes this his status in life. By bestowing fire on humankind, he became the archetype of technological and scientific knowledge, unconstrained by superstition and ignorance. The show’s young performers let Aeschylus’ words flow through their bodies, using physical action that leads to dance and sounds that become songs.<\/p>\n

THE WAR TRILOGY<\/h3>\n

The Fonderie Limone theatre season opens with Gabriele Vacis’s triptych and the young actors from the compagnia PEM (Potenziali Evocativi Multimediali). The play is a journey through mythology, which has been revisited and adapted through the lens of the present to consider the roles, instincts and difficulties facing the younger generations in finding their place in a hyper-connected world yet still marked by harsh political and social conflicts.
