An old actor, surrounded by a dreamlike, ethereal atmosphere, finds himself reliving moments of his life during the half hour before stepping on stage to perform Strindberg\u2019s The Storm. The soundtrack of a theatre coming to life outside his dressing room becomes both pretext and invitation\u2014at times lighthearted, at times deeply moving\u2014to wander through and even converse with the ghosts of his past. Orsini places his trust in Popolizio, like a veteran actor entrusting the discretion of the younger to tell fragments of his own life and the history of Italy from the postwar years to today.<\/p>\n
