It actively and continuously updates and expands its collections using both traditional and advanced digital formats.\u00a0The primary goal of this activity is to provide <strong data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"760\">an effective public service<\/strong>: every weekday, the Centro Studi offers students, teachers, theatre professionals, subscribers, and all citizens interested in theatre access to an impressive wealth of historical documentation and texts, including a <strong data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"1012\">library of over 30,000 volumes<\/strong> and an extensive archive of 20th-century productions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-8 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third fusion-column-first fusion-column-no-min-height\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-margin-bottom:0px;width:30.6666%; margin-right: 4%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-8\"><p data-start=\"148\" data-end=\"335\">This archive is <strong data-start=\"164\" data-end=\"183\">unique in Italy<\/strong> because it is built upon the collection of the historic theatre magazine <em data-start=\"257\" data-end=\"268\">Il Dramma<\/em> (1925\u20131973), founded and directed in Turin by <strong data-start=\"315\" data-end=\"332\">Lucio Ridenti<\/strong>.\u00a0Upon Ridenti\u2019s death in 1973, the <strong data-start=\"371\" data-end=\"387\">Centro Studi<\/strong> was established, continuing and expanding the archive year after year up to the present day.\u00a0On the occasion of the <strong data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"557\">60th anniversary of the Teatro Stabile di Torino<\/strong>, in 2015, the entire body of documentation on the theatre\u2019s history\u2014from its foundation in <strong data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"657\">1955<\/strong> to the present\u2014was <strong data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"716\">digitized and made available online<\/strong>. This includes records of <strong data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"767\">over 700 productions<\/strong> and more than <strong data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"807\">60,000 archival pages<\/strong>, such as press clippings and releases, photographs, programme booklets, scripts, playbills, posters, and stage design sketches.\u00a0To this <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"965\">historic archive<\/strong>, one must also add the <strong data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1005\">70,000 pages<\/strong> of the <strong data-start=\"1013\" data-end=\"1051\">complete collection of <em data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1049\">Il Dramma<\/em><\/strong>, which are also available through the <strong data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1108\">online archive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-9 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;width:30.6666%; margin-right: 4%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-aligncenter\"><a class=\"fusion-button button-flat button-medium button-default fusion-button-default button-2 fusion-button-default-span fusion-button-default-type\" target=\"_self\" href=\"http:\/\/archivio.teatrostabiletorino.it\"><i class=\"fa-desktop fas awb-button__icon awb-button__icon--default button-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><span class=\"fusion-button-text awb-button__text awb-button__text--default\">Digital Archive &amp;
