The third chapter of the Wind Trilogy — winner of the Critics’ Prize in 2019— The Great Emptiness arrives at the Limone with its moving, visionary staging. Merging theatrical narrative with multimedia language, the piece tells the final stretch in the life of a family on the brink of vanishing into nothingness. A slow fade-out, amplified by the progressive decline of a mother—once an actress—now suffering from a neurodegenerative disease. All that remains to her is the memory of her signature role: a monologue from King Lear. On stage: Ermanno De Biagi, Francesca Farcomeni, Piero Lanzellotti, Giusi Merli, and Mona Abokhatwa in her stage debut.
