Geppy Gleijeses returns to engage with Raffaele Viviani and his “street” tales—stories that have always succeeded in giving lyrical power to the slums, the downtrodden, and the common folk. The two one-act plays chosen for this production depict a sorrowful yet genuine Naples, infused with Viviani’s original music and shaped by the lives of a traveling blind orchestra and the misfortunes of the much-maligned Giacinto. On stage, the versatile talents of Peppe Lanzetta, Lorenzo Gleijeses, Chiara Baffi, and a cast of eleven young actors.
