Agamemnon + The Libation Bearers /The Eumenides

Davide Livermore portrays the collapse of a power system by staging the only tragic trilogy that has survived in its entirety. The director sets Agamemnon against 1930s totalitarian regimes and evokes the image of a world entering meltdown. Music interacts, some of it live, interacts with the words of the chorus and actors, while two LED walls, resembling two large supernatural eyes, relay ghostly and frightful images. Presented as a single performance, The Libation Bearers and Eumenides are the second and third chapters of Aeschylus’ Oresteia, a unique tale about family violence and the arrogance of power. The two performances feature a cast of great performers and include Gaia Aprea, Anna Della Rosa, Maria Laila Fernandez, Linda Gennari, Giancarlo Judica Cordiglia, Olivia Manescalchi, Laura Marinoni, Sax Nicosia, Giuseppe Sartori, Stefano Santospago, Maria Grazia Solano and Valentina Virando.
