ON THE POLITICAL BODY OF PIERO GOBETTI
Piero Gobetti was an intellectual who fused political passion and a deep love for theatre with extraordinary intensity. One hundred years after his untimely death, it is time to rediscover his legacy through a project that brings to life the multifaceted strength of the young journalist, philosopher, publisher, translator, and anti-fascist from Turin. Diego Pleuteri presents a dramaturgy that intertwines emotion and memory, giving voice to the many facets of this pivotal figure of early 20th-century Italy. Each evening, students from the Teatro Stabile di Torino Acting School will be joined on stage by historians, journalists, and thinkers, enriching the performance with reflections and analysis. A living, vibrant tribute to the first anti-fascist to have a public space dedicated to him after the Liberation: the Gobetti Theatre in Turin.
