The play’s characters are a group of actors hired to appear on stage before they learn their parts: disguised as policemen, they receive orders through an earpiece and perform actions with no time to think. However, Romeo Castellucci, a world-theatre cult director, sees their frenzied, awkward actions as a mere reflection of a dimension marked by alienation. Subtle and unsettling, Bros comes across as a far-reaching exploration of individual and collective responsibility and our relationship with the law.
