Leandro Piccioni and Mario Tronco, who are the musical inspiration of the Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio, have created a musical rendition for guitar and voices of Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte, borrowing from the centuries-old “posteggia napoletana”, the music of street musicians. Author Andrej Longo’s adaptation fleshes out the characters of Fiordiligi and Dorabella, performed by the Ebbanesis, Viviana Cangiano and Serena Pisa. Giuseppe Miale di Mauro casts them as the impertinent sisters made famous by the Mozart-Da Ponte duo. Like a game that challenges time, space and emotions, the play sets them against the backdrop of a palace in the Spanish Quarter and a stately villa, a little further away, in Chiaja or Posillipo.
