The play chronicles thirty years of real-life correspondence between a lifer and a judge, Elvio Fassone. Despite seemingly incompatible lives, letter after letter, the two find a meeting point. This touching play, which Simone Schinocca has adapted to the stage, raises the issue of how to reconcile our need for the protection of society and life imprisonment with the constitutional requirement that any sentence should include the concept of rehabilitation. The cast includes Salvatore D’Onofrio, Costanza Maria Frola and Giuseppe Nitti.
