Davide Lorenzo Palla leads a lively cast in one of Goldoni’s masterpieces. The play features a ragged theatre company, grappling with the tale of Eugenia and Fulgenzio, two lovers who are far too jealous not to quarrel with one another. The histrionic leader of the company tries to restrain his unruly actors, but they are too wrapped up in their characters to follow his stage directions.
