Umberto Orsini performs in the role that earned him an Ubu award as best actor. Through an edgy and spirited monologue, the leading character impersonates author Thomas Bernhard as he tells a silent listener (Elisabetta Piccolomini) about an unusual friendship, a dramatically compelling relationship between two lonely people: Bernhard himself, who has mastered his madness, and his friend Paul who is a nephew of the Austrian philosopher Wittgenstein, and who has gone mad.
