On stage together for the first time, Elena Bucci, Fausto Russo Alesi, Natalino Balasso and Giovanni Anzaldo perform in Chekhov’s last stage work directed by Valter Malosti whose powerful, vibrant dramaturgy, heralds contemporary issues like respect for the environment. The play becomes a mirror of liquid destinies and emotions that are locked into a modernity that disarms them and consumes them with regret, nostalgia, and the inability to act.
