FAIR PLAY // A factory that produces an ongoing flow of events, a programme in which productions outweigh guest performances, and greater emphasis is given to contemporary versus classical dramaturgy. The presence of prominent Italian and European directors ensures a representative variety of styles, and the season is geared towards cultural exposure and civil engagement. These are the hallmarks of the Teatro Stabile di Torino’s forthcoming season, which reaffirms this institution’s role as a milieu designed to cater for a community of eclectic audiences, each with their own needs and expectations: a theatre engaged in the pursuit of complementary and multifaceted functions, while preserving its distinct artistic identity.
(Filippo Fonsatti – Director of the Teatro Stabile di Torino – National Theater)
