Franco Branciaroli directs and stars in The Dresser, one of the best-known theatrical works of Ronald Harwood, who adapted it for the cinema for the 1983 film by Peter Yates starring Albert Finney, who won the Golden Bear in Berlin. Harwood, a South African playwright and screenwriter, began to work behind the scenes as an author after first making his debut as an actor: The Dresser was his first success, which opened up the doors to large international film productions. The Pianist, directed by Roman Polanski. From 6 to 12 February 2012 concludes, with a week of events dedicated to the work of Bertolt Brecht, the project Fatzer geht über die Alpen, sponsored by the Federal Cultural Foundation of the Wanderlust Fund, which involved the Foundation of the Teatro Stabile of Turin, the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, in colaboration with the Goethe-Institut Turin.
